Fred's issue is that he's better playing as a more advanced midfielder. Mctominay is getting time as a holding midfielder. Fred's been held out by Bruno and Eriksen. He will play a role at some point. He's a good option off the bench too.
Saw the video of dermot gallagher on sky sports saying the scamacca one was “difficult”. I’m literally watching the same replays watching the ball brush off his hand over and over again.
The best way to do it is to first recognise that referees will never be perfect. After that, put the ability to challenge on the captains. Give each team 2 challenges per game, and if they challenge and the decision is correct, they keep them. If not, they lose the challenge. This is what happens in the NRL (rugby league) and it works well.
The problem is that if you take VAR away then fans will have to accept that goals will be conceded or penalties given / not given etc and you will watch the replay and curse “ how the hell did the ref miss that ? “

I didn’t know that I needed a rant that included “robo-ref” but as always, paddock has delivered

Joe was moving very paprika-ly in this video. But I enjoyed his comments on VAR, if not at sometimes a little wild 😅
