Some players have the ability to bring out another 15-20% out of those around them. Keane had it, Cantona had it, Schmeichel had it, Rio had it, Rooney had it, these players where the rest of the squad look at them and say "pfft, we're not losing today with him in our team!".. we're screaming for those leaders that elevate those around them
Amorims first statement was to give Utd an identity - he knew his formation would be the first time any manager since Fergie would achieve this. What this has done has immediately identify the weaknesses and therefore give a clear path for recruitment, instead of randomly buying expensive players and throwing them into a formation that suits them, only to ruin other players’ strengths and confuse the whole team. I don’t think it’ll take many transfer windows for Amorim to get us back into the top 6 and consistently be challenging for the title. I also think it’ll help if we don’t qualify for Europe so we can have a solid season to grow our confidence back and avoid ruining the up and coming youth players - I’m really looking forward to next season ❤🍻

Signing "stars" is the exact opposite of what we need to be doing. If we're sticking with Amorim then he needs a full team full of athletic players who can stay fit, and with the attitude that they will run for him until they die. No more big egos here for a big payday
We need a team not stars. A group that play above their level in a collective not prims donnas. I’ve had enough of pogba Sanchez sancho etc to last me another lifetime. Stars should be the glitter on the cake.
ive said it before, im 52 and i do start to question if i will EVER see us win the league again, im fortunate that i was 18 when we started to dominate football ,and was ST at OT for large % of the time, so i can die happy, but im also a bit sad that i might NEVER see another again

Not only have they got world class but they don't have half a dozen players that have a clanger in them every second week
