The Tier 1 tests are provided by the NHS and won’t be affected by PL tests. PL will be using the private testing kits and labs that provide 50% of the Tier 2 capacity. Tier 2 is used for NHS staff, Care staff, Care Home testing and testing of Key Workers. I’m sure the PL tests won’t come out of the government quota, but it will affect the capacity as all swab kits need to be processed in under 72 hours to maintain their accuracy and integrity.
If they are all rigarously tested, and they will be, then they can touch each other. There's nothing wrong with saying try to stay 2 meters apart when possible for an extra layer of security.
