Tbf to the team and the lack of energy vs Fulham talk, the team played a half with 10 men the game prior and the squad is decimated. It’s the same players playing most minutes.
The excuse for bringing Amorim in so early was to start building his system with the players already here. So that after next summer when he gets a couple of new players the whole team would be ready to play his system. I see less and less evidence the longer he trains with them that these players are making any effort to play a different system whatsoever. And no matter how badly we need to, we're not getting 7 or 8 new 1st team players in.
The idea that it'll have to get worse before it gets better is only sustainable if the reason it's getting worse is because they are learning new patterns of play and you can see they are doing things differently and they're not perfected so it's not quite coming off yet; but given time it will click. Except, we're not doing anything differently apart from having an extra CB. They are doing all the same shit that got ETH fired, only more often and worse. We still can't beat a press and we still can't press from the front. Can't convert set pieces and can't defend set pieces. Can't keep possession because we can't make 5 yard passes, so we start kicking possession away to forwards getting out-muscled by CBs twice their size. Can't hold onto a lead, and can't rally after we concede.
look at dorgu top 3 wingback in world we got him for 35 mil and 40k thats how liverpool operate for decade. we have casemiro, mount, rasmus, onana, shaw, rashford signings and resignings by comparison . expecting amorim to do better with players bought for ethand failed his system seems unfair and insincere joe. especially using that as reason not to back him. its just manifesting the failure by not ever committing .
we dont press its one of many adjustments rubens had to make that he resents and then its system criticized. im never anyone out but team is crippled belief and work wise when on both ends you have keeper leaking and striker hiding. it sucks we have to take our medicine for decade of negligence

Joe’s certainly more of a natural at plugging Huel than Gary Neville!

Imaging paying for YouTube premium to avoid adverts, to then be bombed with adverts inside all podcasts now. FML 😢

Our 11 against Fulham was hardly full of pressing monsters though was it? Surely you can’t be surprised by that….
