Sheik Jassim was never in the race, no matter how much he offered Glazers won't sell because he don't care about United and last thing he wanted was for Sheik to make United a success. Glazers just wanted someone to share the club with as they don't want to go that's why they put the club up for more than it's worth so Sheik would turn it down.
There is no way the glazers will turn down Qatar’s bid now only to sell the club in 3 years for about 500m more. They definitely have a dodgy deal in place & SJR is so desperate to have his name associated with the club that he takes it
For years we have all wanted the glazers to go but there was never any chance of it. They have finally run out of money, scrambling for investment or a full sale & Sir Jim has given them a way out
Ratcliffes deal makes no sense. Heres why... Firstly, if the Glazers wanted £6 billion to walk away, how is selling 25% for £1.35bn gunna entice the Glazers to invest the money back into the club? Throughout their entire tenure they've not invested a single penny of thier own money. And they will see that £1.35 bn as their own money. Now im sure they will invest a little bit to appease the public eye, but i dont see them investing more than £200/£300 million. And that is no way near the amount of money Utd needs right now. Secondly, selling 25% off the club, could mean that 2 membes of the Glazer family, decided to cash in on their shares, and walk away with £1.35 bn. Or they could have spilt and sold the share equally between them meaning they all hold 12.5% each instead of 16.6% (of the total 70% share they own). Now, which Glazer, who were demanding £1 billion each, is gunna forsake 4% of their share to invest it back into the club they've neglected all along? And then you have all the questions that Jay and Adam raised. it just makes no sense! Unforntunately, we the fans have been robbed once again
We're getting ahead of ourselves thinking about spending on infrastructure etc. Capex on the redevelopment of OT, or building a new stadium, will be years away even if we start the process tomorrow. By the time any works start Ineos might have majority or full ownership. We don't even need "outside money" to do Old Trafford anyway, we can fund it from the clubs own revenues if we get rid of the Glazer debt.
damn...didn't even think about the age side of this. Glazer was 76 when he got the club and we only had success cuz Sir Alex had already started the next phase of squad development. we're in the opposite position but would have an owner who is 71-75 years old when he gets full control. we could still be fucked
