We must stop talking about players in terms of sell-on value. There are few clubs in the world that are the last station in terms of greatness. Obviously Real Madrid and Barcelona are in tier 1 but then afterwards it's Manchester United and Bayern Munchen. We dont buy players to sell them on. We buy players that will win us trophies. Even talking about buying a player that you want to make money on is not United. We didn't buy Rooney, Ruud, Berbatov, Carrick and many other with the hope of selling them on later. If this is the attitude we're having then we don't deserve Isak. Our selling pitch to Isak should be "Come here, change this club around and be immortalised" not "come here play for a while, use us as a stepping stone and then go to spain".
The isak situation just encapsulates how far we’ve fallen and it should be a massive wake up call for Ineos. The fact that one of the best players in the league wouldn’t consider us for a second is embarrassing. The club need to sort it the fuck out
