Just for clarification...The troops who attacked the people at Saint Peter's field were stationed at Hulme Cavalry Barracks, which was located just off Chester Road, Cornbrook Street to be precise. It was still a Cavalry Barracks up until the end of WW1, but later was closed and converted into a rec park, which later had flats built on it in the 60s that are still there and occupied today. When I was a kid growing up around there, the main parade ground was a gravel football pitch.
Looks as if the squad can only focus on the "bigger" club games and perform.Its the week in week out personalities we lack,bar licha ,Bruno and of course Lammens
Simply don't have the horses to press and go toe to toe with physical sides. Lack the depth to overcome any injuries or the likes of afcon. UCL is 50/50 at best.
For me the main worry is how we’re starting games. Too often we’re either clearly second best or just lacklustre in the first half of games. It’s just all a bit passive. Bournemouth we were pretty good in the first half without creating a whole lot of clear cut chances, apart from that the last time we were clearly the best team in a first half was Fulham, 8 games ago.
The Peterloo massacre was named after the location St Peter Fields hence St Peters Sq, Peter St. The horses were stabled at Hulme barracks which shut down 100 years ago.
We all knew there would be a limit to what Carrick can do without better players and recruitment. Talking like we should win most to all games when our midfield is limited at best. He has got us challenging for European places which what we originally asked for.
