Listening to Webby talk about Remi brought a lump to the throat.....What a player, and talking about giving away memorabilia....I still have Dennis Laws shirt that my dad got from him at a sportsmans dinner when I was a kid...Now in my 60s and that shirt will go with me to the grave.....I even wore it in games playing footy at Kingsway school in Rochdale....Fantastic pod lads....As always..
I was at that West Brom game as a kid. Some epic goals and a great match to watch despite losing 3-5. Remember Robbo playing for West Brom and Ron Atkinson being their manager.
91, i was 11 starting stretford high school.
My mum was a cleaner at the sports centre across the road so id go in with her and go swimming for an hour before basketball training at 8am.
Most mornings id be swimming lengths alongside the likes of Schmeichel Kanchelskis Robbo Pally Clayton Ince giggs and Sharpe.
Sharpe stood one of the lifeguards up once and she was devastated bless her. (She was fit too 👌)
Quite often id see fergie in his rolls on chester road and hed always wave back. Good old days
