This was a hard watch for a brew episode. I've enjoyed the casual conversation between Ste, Jay and the other guests. I know Joe loves current events but you guys do that type of content all of the time....
I think in the US and even here in Canada, kids play a lot of different sports. I was a pure nerd as a kid, and I still played baseball, basketball, football (soccer), hockey, and later MMA. Granted I played some for only a year or two, as a kid I still played lots of sports, and that's despite the fact that all I cared about at the time was video games
Yea the biggest issues for talent wise on the US is the fact that most top athletes play other sports. And if they do play soccer or football the college first then get drafted sets you so far behind. If you manage to make your way to Europe before like age 20 then you have a real chance.
Giroud and Griezmann are gonna cause us nightmares. I think them pulling our defenders all over the place is more likely to be our downfall rather than a moment of brilliance from Mbappe.
