I don’t believe Sancho is off , nor do i believe we will definitely sign him , this link is going to run and run through to next August. Whether we sign him or not it is the perfect story for the Glazers to give false hope throughout a summer , usually fail to deliver and then say “maybe next year”. Idk if he is the right deal anymore , he has found form again and is a quality player but if you scout around a bit you could find options. Even Grealish there are times he drifts out to the right and he does not skip a beat , if he is less than Sancho that could be the perfect deal , I think he is certainly one of the best footballers in the PL atm. But we have to sort the CB and DM out ; we don’t have a natural DM in the squad outside of a fading Matic and we need a CB upgrade. Buy a RW (been lacking one for years) or another #9 but if will not help if we keep conceding the way we do. DDG and Hendo to me is a distraction , not much between them , DDG’s CV and overall body of work is more to go off and judge but unless you sort the CB’s and defensive midfield it will not matter that much who the GK is between them.
The bigger issue is we are just not spending enough given the needs we have had for years and the size & wealth of United. There is no excuse not to shore up the squad but they never do. And by the time they do more problems arise , Matic was a short term buy , he was one of the better DM’s in the league when we bought him but now he is in decline - Pogba is likely leaving the club , who do we replace him with ? That is the issue because the CB , DM and RW problems did not go away but the other issues now compound them. We had those players with an unfinished squad and now they are leaving or in decline. If we don’t sort the squad for another 2 or 3 years we will have had an unbelievable talent like Bruno who will be into his late 20’s by then but with an unbalanced squad riddled with holes around him for the whole of his tenure with us. Who is to say he will not get frustrated and want to leave himself at some point.
That is the problem , you can’t be having 60/70 million net-spends or less for summer upon summer and try to stay competitive when newly promoted and mid-table clubs spend that or more now. Let alone the turnover with clubs like City or Chelsea and even Liverpool where a big spend is what took them from a cup team easy on the eye to a force challenging at the top. No one is saying spend 150 / 200 million every summer but if they just filled the squad holes the investment going forward after that would be much less , more of a maintenance spend. But the board keep holding back where the needs and problems keep compounding , getting bigger and bigger.
If united had ambition to really go for it, they gotta make alot of moves in the summer both in and out. Easier said than done. But if i was in charge, I’d try to get as much money as possible for Pogba and maybe Martial, also get rid of some guys that are useless now. Then spend big. Try to get a deal for both Haaland, Sancho and a good CB.
Love Andys optimism. 'This summer we have to push on'. Andy its the Glazers. They're not interested in the football side of their 'investment'. Only stock values hold any interest for them.

These conversations are always just Andy Tate chipping in with random phrases in the background while everyone else just ignores him 😂

Anguissa for Fulham looks like a baller from what I've seen this season

Love you guys ❤️
De gea literally started attacks in the last game. Great roll out to Fred that he collected near the half way line
