Beckham's crossing was our most dangerous weapon in 98/99. Especially in Europe. The Centre Backs from most of the European teams couldn't deal with his crosses. They were used to dealing with players who played on the ground. Barcelona, Inter, Juventus and Bayern couldn't deal with him. Such a hard working player as well. Him and Giggs had seasons were they ran the most in the Premier League
I hope you read this - I love hearing you guys talking United 90s if a series of United throughout the decades would be awesome, being born in 93 I only vaguely remember the late 90s so hearing you talking about it whilst witnessing it live is amazing, keep it up. Also it makes me forget about the current situation…
Stephen your Manchester United history videos are amazing but they don't have many views, as you've mentioned yourself. I've watched the whole series about 5 times and have the play list saved. Could you guys upload those videos to this channel so they get the love they deserve?
I vaguely remember this linesman business. I think it was at OT. The lino pulled up and was replaced by someone in the crowd, who was an amateur ref. I think he borrowed some kit/tracksuit, though. I was also at Anfield and saw the lad with the dart in his nose. He was about ten yards behind me. Paul Johnson

Fun fact about Beckham. Most distance covered in a 90 minute game, with 16km vs Greece in 2001.

One of the highest wage bills in football history, one of the most expensive squads in the world.
Struggling to finish 4th let alone challenge for trophies.

Love a Croke Park shout, as an RCSI student all my in person lectures are in the stadium

The Pops Howson comparison story of Edwards and Ferdinand made me grin from ear to ear! Rio must of felt pure pride when hearing those words.

Love this Podcast. I grew up with the Class of '92, but hearing the stories about the Babes and just after is really moving.
