I think people are blowing things out of proportion in terms of Amorim wanting "resign" last season, he didn't. He made it very clear that the results last season was no where near good enough, saying that he would understand if the board didn't see him fit for this job, and would even step back if it was needed. It can get very technical when trying to decipher the human psyche, and I am by no means qualified to do so. But to me, this is a man that is VERY emotional, and very extreme in his ways of reacting to certain situations. He is a righteous man, and that is the situation we saw last season. He is the kind of guy that sacrifices himself, if he sees that as the most fair solution. But this should not be intertwined with giving up. This is not necessarily a reaction of a man giving up, but a response that gives him the platform to show how sorry he is with the current situation, and how much he blames himself for it.

I would guess that Christofer Vivell was the reason United got the Sesko deal done so fast. He used to work in the Red Bull system so he knew exactly who to talk to and what kind of offer would actually get accepted. No long negotiations, just straight to the point.

It’s a good transfer window. Don’t suspect massive additions in January but next summer we have another good window and maybe there’s enough to challenge for the title. If we sack him we go back to square one. Changing a large group of players for someone else who will have the exact same issue. Suck it up, ride it out we’ll get back!

We've been good. That's the crazy thing that nobody wants to talk about. Some glaring goalkeeping errors, ref decision and struggling to score have been our undoing but aside from that, we've been playing like one of the best teams in the league. Even in the Grimsby game, we were shocking for 60 minutes but then we came back and clawed back 2 goals. If there was extra time I have no doubt we'd have won it.

We have issues to fix. We need to score goals and we need to get Lammens in as quickly as possible (I don't think he's here to be back up) but it's beginning to click. The problem we have is we're facing all of the potential title contenders in the first handful of games. We probably need to take at least 4 points off City, Chelsea and Liverpool over the next few weeks. 7 points would be great, 9 seems incredibly unlikely.
