Personally I would say United have improved in every single way other than finishing chances.
Better in possession, better in playing out, midfield looks more compact, no longer defensively frail and creating more chances for the striker have all drastically improved.
It's a shame we still are far below where we should be at finishing.
On the topic of not liking strikers who score in bunches, Rooney used to score his goals like that, he’d go through spells of 1 in 11 and then 9 in 8 or something like that, but we forgave him for that because his effort was on another level.
We had Berbatov top score in the league with 20 in 10/11, but if you actually look into it, he had 2 hat tricks and 5 in a game, so 55% of his league goals were across 3 games…
Bruno hasn't adapted to this season's more controlled play yet. He's still playing like he has throughout his Utd career—taking on the responsibility to win games and being the sole creator with risky, long passes. While that's been key in previous counter-attacking setups, this season demands more patience, possession, and recycling to wear opponents down. He may need time to trust the new approach and realise that making simple passes instead of forcing low-percentage plays will benefit the team. He'll adjust and improve soon.
Patience is required. Signs of significant improvement are there but it’s not realistic to expect them to turn into the 99 side in the space of a few weeks, especially with so many new players to integrate. In fact, those players have done extremely well and have lifted the levels, but it’s obvious that the room for improvement is large and therefore the potential is huge.
I 100% agree with Joe. I haven't enjoyed watching a United game as much as the Palace game in a long time. Even in a lot of our big wins in the last 12+ months, I'm always on edge and feeling doom.

I also agree with Joe. The most positive thing of the game was the clean sheet. IMO that is a big change from last year.

Patience is required.
