Why can't we have pogba Grealish and Bruno?
I watched the 1999 season the other day and united had Beckham, Scholes, Sheringham, Cole, Yorke, Giggs, Ole. Look at the depth of that side. So why can't we have depth as well???
Rashford, Martial, Pogba, Grealish, Sancho, Bruno, Lingard, Ighalo, Greenwood, James.
Grealish can play in numerous positions, in midfield and attack. He has creativity, can dribble, works hard for his team, and has character and leadership. When teams play super defensive he can be the difference, can find space, can dribble inside and outside, and pulls players out of position. IMO I would give him the 7 shirt - that's how highly I think of him. How many of our players can actually dribble at a high level?
Grealish is a class footballer , i highly rate him , quality technical player with an eye for goals and assists, producing in a tough situation at Villa , and a somewhat unique type of player. The problem for me is where to fit him in for most matches , I want Pogba out as much as anyone but Grealish to me is not a like for like replacement attributes wise ; especially with Bruno who needs to be give the most license and deployed the furthest forward in our mid imo , I think we need a more box to box type if Pogba leaves and if we sign Sancho both wings already spoken for. Definitely want Pogba out but he is a physical unit who can put disciplined performances in as we have seen for club and country , so i think we need someone of that ilk especially against a lot of PL opposition. SMS getting back to his best after a couple down seasons , Saul is a great option despite the expense , is Soumare possibly of that ilk ? not sure if i ever seen him play but some seem to think so ; although personally i think we need more a DM type like Zakaria with Matic aging and Fred & Scott better box to box I would rather target a long term DM destroyer. If we sell Pogba I would put that money towards Sancho as the priority , keep Bruno as the free 8 or CAM , Fred and Scott mixing in box to box and Zakaria holding the mid. I would probably sign Zakaria regardless tbh , the few times i watched him this season he looks a proper modern enforcer (that we lack) who attributes wise seems would translate well to the PL.
Especially with all the financial uncertainty at the moment I am not sure we will sign much after Sancho (if we can clinch that signing) , may need another 9 if Ighalo does not stay with us in the short term and I am not sure Grealish such a free player with so much license works easily for us positionally anyway. We are seeing so many links to us and other clubs from journos of late but I have my doubts , there is so much global financial uncertainty right now , not clear the particulars of how the next transfer window will work or when it will open or exactly how much money United or any other clubs will have for transfers given the financial impact every club is dealing with at the moment

He has character among all other things we need leaders with an attitude and belief to help the team become consistent winners
i think pogbas time at united is done id be more than happy with grealish he is a quality player and will improve beyond pogbas lvl
