Never saw the outrage from neville and co when the Bournemouth player pushed Amad with two hands in the chest in the box then Bournemouth goes down and scores… or the clear mason mount goal that was onside vs city. I could go on
Takes me back to when Middlesbrough knocked us out of the Cup a few years ago for a similar but much more blatant version of this “handball”.
I don’t remember any “neutral/rival” fans thinking that was a disgrace.. I don’t remember the PGMOL writing to United to apologise about it being incorrect.. a game that put us out of the cup rather than this one that was dead rubber.
how much airtime are we gonna give this? They followed the rules. Gary Neville needs to be held accountable for not knowing the rules and for being a knob
The more I've seen that Cunha goal talked about, the more clear it is that the referee was right according to the rules of the game.
I think the rules need a rework, but rules will never get reworked unless they're actually followed. When you start refereeing somewhere in-between what feels right and what the rules say, that's where inconsistencies tend to arise.
Can the club build a statue of Gary Neville and then we can all tip it into the Ship Canal.
