Given our situation we should really just throw the budget at Caicedo and Kane. 100m for Kane and 80m for Caicedo. At least they are top players and once the ownership changes, we focus on building next season. Kane and Caicedo would make us better. Yes it’s not enough but better than last year. at least we have lindelof, Varane, Martinez and shaw if needed. we have Malacia when shaw is needed at centre back, so that is not ideal but it will do! in midfield at least in big games away we would have Casemiro and Caicedo in midfield with Bruno, Eriksen can cover for Bruno. Up front if Kane is ever injured or not available we stick Marcus up front and Garnacho takes Marcus place on the left. I know it means our squad is thin! But at least it’s 2 great players we are adding. Objective next season would be top 4 and a trophy. Then next summer we probably add the other players. In fact we could also use the remaining 20m plus a sale or two to bring that to 50m and buy a goalkeeper. Given this disastrous summer window, a keeper, Kane and Caicedo is alright.
