Felt I was having a stroke at the third

"Michael Carrick has been speaking to the press ahead of the" 😂

The club might have declined under the Glazers, but its demise has been rapidly accelerated under Inneos. Absolute incompetence on every level out of their depth, how they have treated Michael Carrick is an embarrassment. They've managed to show just as much negligence as the Glazers and they've only been here since 2024.

Carrick is being treated shabbily. The higher management at this club are reprehensible.

I love the quiet disdain he has for the press. One thing I loved last week was that he gave this 5 minute speech and when they started asking questions be didn't give them anything. Never forget, these guys are the enemy. They aren't here to report the news, they aren't here to bring positivity, they're here to sniff out drama, build narratives and get their headlines.

Wilcox should have conducted the press conference or at least had his own.

To answer Joe’s question about Michael, there is another version of him. I’ve seen it in Ferdinand’s video (the one featuring SAF). He showed us Carrick the manager but the real Michael Carrick not boring at all. He chose to show us this version and to treat interviews and press conferences as IELTS speaking part because he doesn’t want extra trouble for United. He talked about a lot of things when he’s with friends and family.

Nice edit on the first bit 😆

Two things are true at the same time: first, in a single vehicle accident, Carrick drove the first team into a ditch over the summer by utterly failing to prepare them physically and tactically; second, INEOS are utterly incapable of the most basic football club management (a symptom of which was appointing Carrick to a full-time job when it should have been obvious, because they worked with the guy for months, that he was out of his depth).
