VAR had an absolute shocker yesterday. Why didn't VAR check CR7's goal? They should've checked if the whistle had gone before the defender kicked it. The ref wasn't even looking when the defender kicked it, so it was a clear and obvious error from him. 3 potential penalties and none of them given. Even though replays showed all 3 were pens, VAR didn't want undermine the ref. Total fkn joke. Southampton's goal should've been disallowed as well, it came from a foul throw. But VAR didn't want to know. Last week they were on one extreme, where they gave a nonsense pen against Liverpool and disallowed Rashford's goal. And this week they've over corrected and not bothered to give anything. The FA needs to sort this out or scrap it. There is literally no consistency.
A major problem with VAR is the rules themselves, VAR can only be used in binary situations and unfortunately the rule of the game are not written that way. First remove all subjectivity from a rule before considering it for VAR and make it either a foul or just part of game.

When are these officials going to be hold accountable for these poor decisions?
Players get fined for making poor decisions and they need to as well
