We'll have to face Barcelona on the Europa League because of a controversial decision in our home match against Real Sociedad. The ball deflected on Martinez's body before hitting his arm, which sometimes rules out a penalty.
But hey, now that we benefit from one interpretation we apparently have a cabal of referees under our influence.

I just don’t understand how it’s so much more controversial than Salah’s goal last week when the actual offside player scored.

We've now got a manager who is prepared to make big decisions, the guy has brought back what it means to be Man United, play with passion and the badge is what is needed ...onwards GGMU

To end the argument, Rashford was smart enough not to touch the ball, Akanji was not smart enough to touch Rashford.

The positive energy from both the team and the fan base is simply refreshing & promising, am hopeful something gd could come our way, let's march on united

My thing is you can't allow Akanji to referee the game himself by deciding to slow down. The flag didn't go up at that point, the game was still live. Why should a *onside* player (Fernandes) be punished because Akanji thought a different player was offside?

This decision will make refs not wanna give united even legit decisions cause of the backlash of the media, just like when klopp said we get too many penalties
