The more obvious question to ask is "are these opinions honest? Can we take the poll in good faith?". Trying to analyse answers that are compromised by some sort of agenda is pointless.
Might the Sesko worst signing have something to do with the fact that the agents were financially stung by Newcastle offering more money (and hence agents fees) than United, whom Sesko chose?
Liverpool are media darlings always have been.... Media outlets love salting United at any opportunity.... for 20 years they didn't have much to hate on so the media would nitpick with the likes of Beckham, Keane, Rooney, Cantona, Ronaldo etc now they have clear strike at anything.
So based on what Critch has said here, what we've learned is that it's completely pointless to ask agents these questions because it just demonstrates agents are just as ignorant as everyone else. He even said that in a previous year these agents picked Cole Palmer as the worst signing. So this begs the question - why does The Athletic bother to run this series, knowing that these agents "insight" is pointless.
The protection that Liverpool get from the media is nuts to me. They have a €130mil player and a €150mil player who've not played well at all for them and not a peep from the major outlets. Actually no theyre defending them? As for the atheltic, they were bought a couple years ago by the New York Times, but this year especially ive noticed some rag articles from them. What makes (made) them great was they were actual journalists that didnt stoop to trolling. Seems like thats what they're aiming for now unfortunately. Still rate Mark, Carl etc, just hoping they dont get dragged down
