He suggested bringing off mctominay for ronaldo, so were having issues dealing with counters before and now you wanna take off mctominay and have a midfield of fred and bruno to deal with the counters? i'm sorry, but what do fred and scott offer? are u telling me that donny can't do what either of them do and more? scott's been missing these last 3 games and fred keeps getting bounced off. neither of them pass too great, they don't create chances, they don't score goals and per the goal on the weekend, they can't even do their defensive job properly. plus, ole doesn't even use matic
The one thing Mcfred are on the field is for defending and just passing to Bruno. But what's even the point of having both of them on the field when they can't do that. Fred is getting bullied week in week out. McTominay is not asking for passes and is scared and getting behind players to be available for the pass.
In ole's first season we were one of the best teams in the league in terms of xG against, which means that we were limiting our opposition to low quality chances, now we are the complete opposite, we allow opposition to good chances, also why does seem as of no one apart from wan bissaka knows how to tackle, they just stick a leg out and hope for the best
What exactly does Fred and McTominay offer. Not good defensively and they don’t progress the ball. The issue is that we have watched both Fred and McTominay play garbage for how long and he wont give Donny the same chances that McFred has got.
While you make alot of valid points Steve you aren't more educated then other fans. While I agree there are a lot of trolls in our fan base. Calling Fred elite, seriously Rio shut you down on Vibes and explained why he isn't. He has a role to play, not as a starter but as a squad player! Same with McTominay! Furthermore Ole has done great restabilised the club off and on the pitch but there are no excuses for our poor performances thus far. He had plenty of time to plan tactically in the off season based on our expected signings minus the exception of Ronaldo.
