ETH finishing 3rd last year was quite the standmount achievement 🎉🎉🎉, but...Are we trying to be a possession based team? Or are we aiming to be the perfect counter-attack / transition team? Genuine question
Wonder if players like Bruno/Rashy are instructed to punt it long and take crazy shots (spectacular goals when it works), or if ETH is trying to change their behavior, just unsuccessful thus far.
Personally a fan of counter attacking play like Real Madrid... we are always losing until we win haha.
But it was nice to watch the game midweek where we held possession and felt in control (no bruno no rashy)... flipside is there were less line breaking passes, long shots and individual brilliance.
Goodluck to ETH, curious if we'll see predictable patterns of play this season, however perhaps thats the philosophy though, unpredictability, keep the other teams guessing 😅
