Scored double digits in the league which he’d never done before in his career and finished as uniteds top goal scorer in his first season whilst having multiple injuries and tbh very little service from the wingers and creative players , he’s young and seemingly our only striker who is going to consistently score goals as Zirkzee doesn’t look like that type of striker . Which is huge pressure to put on young lad who’s trying to find his way in a the premier league at a young age in a team that doesn’t create a lot of regular opportunities for the strikers .

In my opinion, the reason for the greater concessions was twofold:
a) the unprecedented defensive injury crisis at left back and centre back
b) Varane and Martinez played a deeper defensive line in 22/23 than anytime under Ole (despite the mistaken belief that Maguire = low block).
Ten Hag’s ambition to play a higher defensive line has not been fully realised, and we’re now conceding more goals in transition as a result.

I think Hojlund has been quite clinical every game last season he’d either get 1 or 0 shots per 90 and still had 16 goals in all comps the problem was other people shooting for themselves than passing to the guy who’s job is to score the goals
Why does ten Hag persist with the inverted wingers guys? Now along with inverted defenders, it narrows our attack and congests play to the width of the penalty area and then we wonder why we’re not scoring goals!
When have we seen Amad or Antony on our left! I’ll tell you, NEVER! Rashford insists on playing on the left, manager allows this but he never goes on the outside to hit the by line to cross! Tell him to fk off and put him on the right! It’s no coincidence that Garnacho plays better on the right - his strongest foot side!
At least rotate during a game! Give the opposition full backs something to think about ffs!

I did say this when Case was bagging his goals, its great for us and him at the time, vibes were amazing.
But its horrifying that basically the whole season our 6 Casemiro was our goal threat along with super sub McTom - very worrying
Watching our build up play and seeing how stagnent we are comparedto other teams where ever playeris moving pulling space is a problem.we also seem to slow build givig oposition time to get into position.
