Personally i really like Van de Beek , despite the fact I am not sure we are going to see any midfield signings unless Pogba is sold , which to me seems a bit unlikely in the next transfer window. But I do like Van de Beek , can play either attacking mid or box to box , has been an integral cog in some good Ajax sides and he is a quality technical player. For me high level technical ability usually translates to being able to play and thrive in most any league(s) , and with Donny in particular that technicality coupled with a bit of tenacity and defensive ability convinces me even more so. I like VdB and would definitely consider him in terms of the mids we look at ; i would slightly prefer Grealish but VdB would be right behind him for me and we have to multiple options on the table anyway. Van de Beek provides a lot of quality for what i expect would be a reasonable fee and is definitely of the ilk and ability level we should have in the mix as a CM option , provided we are actually looking at midfield signings in the next transfer window.
Only time will tell if 100mil is a bargain. If he delivers similar numbers and if he's here for at least 3 seasons, then I'd say it was a bargain. But we haven't had good luck with wingers recently, especially the no7 jersey

The fact that people even consider Maddison and Grealish to be in the same level as Van De Beek is ridiculous. I would welcome Donny to the club, immediately.. When I saw him in the champions league last season, he was the 1 that stood out to me in That Ajax team.. Ever since then, I've been praying we get him... Better player and we can get him for cheaper... Why does people not see the logic?
